All Beautiful Journey Design Stories
Gathering of Hearts
This artwork, Gathering of Hearts, celebrates the deep connection between love, family, and culture. The circular patterns embody harmony, community spirit, and the never-ending cycles of life. Radiating outward from the centre, the layered petals and patterns represent hearts coming together, each one unique but connected, just as families and communities gather in love and strength.
The vibrant reds and pinks carry the warmth of love, while the greens and golds bring the spirit of new life and celebration, echoing the Christmas season. The use of circles and flowing lines pays homage to ancestral storytelling, where each mark holds meaning and memory. At its heart, this piece is a reminder that love is at the centre of all gatherings—whether with family, community, or Country. It is a celebration of connection, respect, and the power of coming together in harmony.
The Gift
Time is one of the most precious gifts we can give. When we give someone our time, we are giving them moments of our lives that we never get back. You’re gifting them a valuable and limited resource. Coming together, making memories, making traditions, laughing with loved ones and reflecting.
Reflecting on the year that was and thinking about the growth that we will strive for in our future.
Our time is a very powerful gift. One of the best gifts of all.
Sunrise Circles
“Sunrise Circles” reflects the warm colours of dawn spreading across Country. The circles symbolise connection, gathering and the cycles of life, while the flowing lines show our pathways forward. It’s a piece about new beginnings, hope and the strength that rises with each sunrise.
Ripples of Connection
This artwork represents how our connections flow like ripples across water-linking people, Country, and spirit. The large flower at the centre symbolises the spirit of growth, renewal, and women’s strength. It represents the way life continues to bloom from deep roots; from our mothers, aunties, grandmothers, and the women who came before us. Its petals reach outward, carrying their guidance, love, and wisdom across generations. I painted this to show how every action, story, and relationship moves outward, shaping everything it touches. The blues and greens reflect water and Country, while the golds and whites symbolise energy, healing, and the pathways that connect us all.
Euphoric
Euphoric is a celebration of life after hardship, the moment when darkness begins to lift and colour rushes back in. Bursting with colour and radiant hues, it reflects the emotional shift from survival to joy, from heaviness to freedom. It represents the journey and people who are there to lift you up. This piece honours the beauty of emerging from difficult seasons and embracing life with an open heart, reminding us that joy is often brightest after we have known the dark.
By the Sea
‘By the Sea’ explores connection, memory, and belonging. Inspired by a childhood spent near the ocean, this artwork reflects the rhythms of the tides and the beautiful memories made at the beach. I was lucky enough to grow up in a house by the sea. My parents still live there on beautiful Butchulla Country. It is a tribute to home, gratitude, and life lived alongside the water.
